Celeste began her training as a jeweller in 2001, under the guidance of a third generation jeweller who taught her to create jewellery from first design sketches to choosing gemstones, hand making and then finishing off the finished piece of jewellery, a true journey from imagination to completion. A love of gemstones and fascination with learning led to Celeste studying gemmology and diamond technology before going further afield to visit pearl farms in Australia and Tahiti.
The inspiration of the beautiful Central Coast is frequently explored in Celeste’s jewellery making, and Broken Bay Pearls from the local pearl farm are featured often in her pieces. Having greatly enjoyed participating in watercolour classes at EBACC as a student, Celeste is delighted to have the opportunity to share her love of jewellery design and manufacturing with the EBACC community as a tutor in 2019.
